Chatbot development for WhatsApp, for a Coca-Cola trivia activity

For a Coca-Cola activity in the summer of 2023 aimed at the orthodox sector, we developed a chatbot mechanism that provides and replies to users automatically on WhatsApp. The core of the activity is typing in a unique product code, which is stamped on the bottles and cans of the product - each such code, and in fact each purchase of a product, gives the participant an opportunity to play a trivia game, to try and answer as many questions correctly and as quickly as possible, in order to win prizes.

The bot contains the following components:

  • Automatic response to users according to the texts received - both for open and closed questions.
  • Registration, by receiving personal details from the user (full name, e-mail, approval of regulations, etc.).
  • Identification of a unique code stamped on the cans and bottles of the products.
  • A trivia game, which also contains sound recognition questions.
  • Saving user information, their games and their scores.
  • Sharing the game with friends.
  • Receiving media in various forms - images, sound, PDF files, etc.
  • Reminders and scheduled messages.

 
At the customer's disposal was a management system that allows him to perform the following actions:

  • Editing the texts (answers) of the bot.
  • Receiving an indication of all the users' games, including the score in each game and the game time.
  • Editing the database of questions for the trivia game.
  • Updating the code base of the products by uploading an Excel file.
  • Interfacing and synchronization with the SalesForce system used by the client.
  • Interfacing to the Google Analytics system to receive statistical information on the use of the bot users.
