Web application development for Fanta and Sprite

For the Central Bottling Company, which manufactures and markets Fanta and Sprite brands in Israel, we have developed web applications aimed at promoting these brands. Here are some of the applications we've developed:

Scratch and Win

Fanta and Sprite, as a joint venture, offered consumers the opportunity to purchase the brands products, and to keep the bottle caps. Below each bottle cap is a single-entry code that allows the consumer to type it into the site. The system verifies that code from the existing code base, and if the code exists in the code base and has not yet been used, the consumer receives a virtual scratch card. Beneath the scratch cards, various prizes may be hidden - from flowers to a flight to Europe. A user which under his scratch card was hiding a prize, could fill in his details in order to win that prize.

The logic system we developed for the application is a sophisticated system that assigns prizes to the users in the form of a raffle, while maintaining the allocation of prizes defined daily, in order to prevent a situation of exceeding the distribution of those prizes. In addition, the customer, the advertising agency that operates of the activity and the lottery supervisor, has a dedicated management system that enables receiving information about participants and winners, including filtering and exporting the information to Excel files.

Strawberry Fanta 360

As in the "Scratch and Win" activity, Strawberry Fanta also offered to purchase the brand products, and to keep its bottle caps. In order to verify the purchase on the web site, user should type the code that appears below the cork. The system will verify that this code does exist in the database, and that it is not used.

After typing a verified code, the user goes to the "World of gifts of Fanta" - a 360-page view of an illustrated world, where the user can choose one of the illustrated gifts in this world. Clicking on a gift will show the user whether this gift contains a prize, and if so - what is that prize. Like the "Scratch and Win" application, here too we have developed a prize distribution mechanism, which on the one hand allows a random lottery, while maintaining that no more prizes will be distributed from the daily quota set for each prize.

For the use of the customer, the advertising agency that runs the activity and the lottery supervisor, a dedicated management system was available, that enables receiving information about participants and winners, including filtering and exporting the information to Excel files.

Sprite Target Zero

In the "Sprite Target Zero" activity, the users answer different trivia questions, which consist of text, images, graphics and video. Users who accumulate the most points in the fastest time, will be the winners.

A management system was established for the operation of the activity, which was used by the client and the advertising agency, in order to receive information about participants and winners, as well as management of the questions that appeared in the application.

Fanta and Pizza Hut

The activity was launched within the "Pizza Hut" application. A user who ordered a pizza with a Fanta bottle, could participate in the "wheel of fortune" activity - spin a wheel of prizes, and receive the prize on which the wheel stopped (garlic bread, cheese sticks, etc.). When all prizes were awarded according to pre-defined allocations.
