Developing a secure voting system for Got Talent

The secure voting system we built for Applicaster was used by Mediaset - a Spanish broadcasting body - for the "Got Talent" TV show. The system allows the customer to produce different pages in a fixed format, with the content being changed. The page is a voting page for Got Talent program participants, so viewers at home can vote and influence the program in real time.

When the candidate was selected by the user, he was required to confirm by SMS received on his device that the telephone number he provided was his telephone number. And this actually made the voting mechanism secure, which meant that users could not make double votes and fill the system with forgery.

The system and database we have set up and maintained are designed to handle the use of tens of thousands of users simultaneously, who are expected to enter at the time of the program broadcast and vote for their favorite candidate.
